Fresh off of her first live performance of “Never Worn White” on the Australian show The Project, Katy Perry was put into a scary situation when her Sydney hotel went into a 24-hour quarantine due to the recent spread of coronavirus. The Park Hyatt Hotel reportedly went under quarantine after two of the members of The Universal Music team had contracted the virus.
Tom Hanks Recently Stayed At The Same Hotel As Katy Perry
It is worth mentioning that Tom Hanks who recently announced he has contracted coronavirus stayed at that same hotel just a few days earlier with his wife, Rita Wilson. It is unclear whether the incidents are related. Hanks and Wilson are both receiving treatment in Australia and updated fans on Instagram of their condition. They are in isolation so that they do not infect anyone else.

Perry did not leave the hotel for 24 hours and was not photographed until the quarantine was over. She canceled all of her television and promotional appearances on Thursday. Now Katy is headed back to the United States to be with fiancé Orlando Bloom for fears of any future quarantines keeping them apart. Bloom was in Prague while Perry was under this quarantine. Bloom posted the following video message on his Instagram story before urging fans to self-quarantine: “It’s farewell from us as we’re going home to be quarantined,” he continued “We’re coming home to the States. At least I’m coming home to the States because we want to get in before the quarantine.”
It is clear that Katy’s health and safety are very important during her pregnancy and the two feel that remaining in the United States during this pandemic is the best decision.
