Katy Perry and Fellow ‘American Idol’ Stars Tease New Project

A fantastical new teaser video for the entertainment lineup at Resorts World Las Vegas features three American Idol stars — Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood.
According to Billboard, the promo seems to be teasing the stars who will appear at the new resort, although not all of them have been confirmed yet. Will we really be able to see three American Idol stars in Vegas soon?
‘American Idol’ Stars Appear in Las Vegas Resort Video
The new Las Vegas resort is set to open on June 24. In a teaser titled “Stay Fabulous,” several famous music stars appear in magical settings. American Idol judge Katy Perry is a mermaid, and co-star Luke Bryan is a fisherman dangling objects on a fishing line.
Perry sends a boot up to Bryan before he looks through a telescope at American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, who is on a turtle’s back in the middle of the ocean. She walks down a path made of piano keys before sending a glowing, winged insect up into the air.

The video also features DJs Tiësto and Zedd, as well as none other than Celine Dion. According to Billboard, only Tiësto and Zedd have been confirmed to have performance deals with Resorts World. Sources have teased that Perry will have a residency, but it hasn’t been officially announced.
Dion is experienced on the Vegas scene, having performed at Caesars Palace. But Underwood and Bryan would be new acts on the Vegas Strip if the teaser is pointing to residencies for them as well.
The Stars Are Teasing Us On Social Media
Underwood posted a clip from the new promo on her Instagram account.
“I’m all aflutter with something exciting coming April 21!” She wrote and later updated the post to say, “Looks like we have to keep fluttering a little longer… more to come…”

Bryan was less cryptic, simply promoting the resort without teasing his involvement.
“Looks like a good time to be had in Las Vegas when the resort opens this June 24,” he wrote on Instagram.
Perry posted the entire promo to her Instagram page, writing, “All I gotta say is that’s what you get for waking up in Vegas amirite.”
We wish they would give us more answers as to whether they’re performing at the resort or not, but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
