Katy Perry Is Always Late To ‘American Idol’

American Idol‘s reboot is coming our way in March but they’ve already started taping the auditions and whatnot that will be broadcast later. The only snag so far seems to be some diva-like behavior on the part of judge Katy Perry. It seems that Katy is ALWAYS late. Always.

Reading Time: 1 minutes

She habitually shows up at least an hour late for the tapings. While fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan don’t seem to mind, the producers and crew sure do. What stars like Katy Perry either don’t seem to know or don’t care is what tardiness does on a shoot. It delays everyone and puts everyone in a foul mood. It also pushes everything back which means they are going to incur penalties from the unions and have to pay overtime. This can easily become hundreds of thousands of dollars PER EPISODE.

But then again when you pay someone 25 million dollars to anchor your show they can and will treat the production like garbage. That’s because they know that because she’s the crown jewel of the show that the producers will bend over backwards to keep them happy. Act like a professional, Katy, get up earlier and think about the crew and your co-workers instead of yourself.
