John Legend admitted that he couldn’t be happier to see Paris Winningham still competing in The Voice, even if he is now on Team Blake. This singer made it straight through to the Top 13 during the eliminations last week. After this performance, It’s crazy that Paris was ever up for elimination.

Tonight’s episode is dedication night on The Voice. For his dedication song, Paris chose “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye. He gave an extremely emotional version of the song for his grandparents. Everyone in the room could feel the emotion in Paris’s version.

Once his performance was over, Carson Daly handed over the microphone to Legend. Legend admitted that he’s happy to see Paris thriving on Team Blake.

“Well everytime I hear him sing since he left my team I do feel a little pinch of stupidity washing over me to mix metaphors,” said Legend. “I am just so happy you are still apart of this show you are so gifted and you have so much smoothness in your voice but so much power at the same time.”

Blake Shelton Points Out How Paris Threw His Hat, It Landed On An Audience Member’s Head

Shelton had a different look at Paris’s performance. Even though he also commented on the fact that Paris was amazing, he didn’t mention that he’s going to win the show with this singer. Instead, he talked about how cool Paris truly is.

“Just to listen you and watch you deliver that message with that much confidence it was an incredible performance but more than that I feel like you’re not a secret around here anymore and America’s catching on,” said Shelton. “He’s the coolest guy, he literally threw his hat and it landed on someones head.”

He pointed to the person in the audience and pointed out the fact that his story was true. After that, Shelton asked America to vote for Paris tonight.

Voting is now open for The Voice, results will be announced on tomorrow night’s show.

Blake made that up. I like the video, which does not show the hat landing. It turned in the air, but I think it could have landed on a head. One time, our trampoline artist in the circus hit the portrait of the queen in the forehead with his shoe – but it took him a month of curling arenas to nail it.
