Jodie Sweetin announced that she recently got engaged to Mescal Wasilewski. The couple has been together for four years. Sweetin took to Instagram to make the announcement just before celebrating her 40th birthday.
Sweetin is all smiles in the photo taken just after the pair’s engagement. The first image of Sweetin with her engagement ring seems to have been taken during a morning hike. This will be the child star’s fourth marriage.
The star of the adorable engagement selfie is Sweetin’s marquise-cut diamond ring. With another diamond cut in the center of the ring, fans and Sweetin’s celebrity friends are taking notice of the couple’s symbol of love. Even Sweetin acknowledged how much the ring takes her “breath away,” on her Instagram story. She called the ring “stunning.”
News of Sweetin’s engagement comes just after a week of her TV dad, Bob Saget’s death. The bittersweet moment isn’t lost on Sweetin. She has been constantly paying tribute to Saget on her social media since news broke of the comedian’s death.
Sweetin has been posting old photos and kind words for the late comedian. She even posted his last appearance on her Never Thought I’d Say This podcast, and expressed how grateful she was to share the moment with him this past summer.

Life will be imitating art for Sweetin as her household continues to become full. Sweetin has two daughters from her previous marriages. As for her newest fiancé, he is a therapist in Los Angeles. He has worked in the field of addiction and mental health for over 16 years and moved from New York City to be with Sweetin.
“I love you Mescal, for always. You’re my person. I can’t wait to see the life that lies ahead for us. Here’s to us, @ghostfacelito and our life of adventures. Together. I think I’m really gonna like turning 40,” Sweetin posted.
