Jimmie Allen ‘Working to Resolve’ Things with His Wife as He Countersues Accusers

Country singer Jimmie Allen claims that he and his wife Alexis Gale are “working to resolve things together” after they both filed for divorce earlier this year. It was also recently reported that Allen is countersuing two women who accused him of sexual assault.
Jimmie Allen, Wife Alexis Are ‘Working to Resolve Things’
Allen and Gale announced their separation in April of this year, at the same time they shared the news that they’re expecting another child together. Then in May, Allen was sued for sexual assault by a woman who used to work as his manager.
Both Allen and Gale have reportedly filed for divorce. However, Allen recently told People, “The divorce case is still pending, as my wife and I are working to resolve things together as a family.”
Allen also clarified a statement he made last week about waiting to respond to the sexual assault allegations, saying he “wanted to fix my family first.”
“What I meant by ‘fixing my family first,’ was making sure their mental health and stability are OK in light of these hurtful, false allegations,” Allen told the outlet. “I took some time off to be with my wife, kids and friends, to ensure everyone was OK.”

Allen Is Countersuing Two Sexual Assault Accusers
In June, it was reported that Allen was facing yet another lawsuit from a woman accusing him of sexual assault. She claimed that Allen secretly recorded their encounter without her consent. Allen was dropped by his record label after the news broke.
Allen has denied the allegations. On Thursday, he filed two counterclaims against his accusers, accusing Jane Doe 1 of defamation and Jane Doe 2 of illegally stealing his phone. The singer released a statement about his decision.
“This situation has caused me great humiliation, and I felt it was necessary to seek professional help,” Allen said. “These false allegations have caused me to lose a vast number of business and endorsement opportunities that I worked extremely hard for. These false allegations have also not only harmed me, but have caused severe financial damage to my band, my team, and their families.”
Attorney Ben Fegan, who is representing both accusers, told People of Allen’s counterclaims, “We’re eager to show the court abundant evidence to the contrary, which we believe will prove that Jimmie Allen is a serial abuser and should be held accountable for his actions.”
