On Tuesday night, sister duo Presley & Taylor auditioned for America’s Got Talent Season 18. As it turns out, the pair has a track called “Honky Tonk Girl” that was co-written by country star and former Dancing with the Stars contestant Jessie James Decker.
Jessie James Decker Co-Wrote Presley & Taylor’s Song
Decker recently took to Instagram stories to share Presley & Taylor’s song “Honky Tonk Girl,” writing, “Y’all go snag this one!! I co-wrote this song & these talented girls cut it!! Sounds SO GOOD!!!”
The song appears on the duo’s debut EP Limited Edition (Side A). The track’s lyrics are about going out and having a good time to deal with heartbreak. As they sing on the chorus, “‘Cause I’m a honky tonk girl / And I’m dancin’ on my own / I don’t need nobody / My baby did me wrong.”
The song comes with a music video that shows the sisters dancing at a bar. According to Holler, Decker co-wrote “Honky Tonk Girl” alongside Emily Weisband and Andrew De Roberts.

The Country Duo Was Rejected by the Judges
Presley & Taylor didn’t perform “Honky Tonk Girl” for their AGT audition on Tuesday night. Instead, they chose to sing their collaboration with Haley Mae Campbell, which is called “Never Not a Good Time.”
Unfortunately, none of the judges liked the performance enough to keep them in the competition. The entire panel voted “no” to sending them through.
“Our audition didn’t go how we’d hoped, but overall it was a great experience and you only miss out on the chances you don’t take!” the duo wrote on Instagram. “We know that God has a plan for our future, our music, and we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.”
In the meantime, the sisters have several live shows lined up for the summer and into the fall. They shared dates on their Instagram earlier this year.
