‘Idol’s Alisabeth Von Presley Represents Iowa on ‘American Song Contest’

Alisabeth Von Presley appeared on American Idol in Season 12 and continued to pursue her music dreams after her elimination from the show. Alisabeth’s persistence paid off. It has been a decade since she competed on Idol and now the singer is ready to represent on American Song Contest.
Season 12 of American Idol stayed fresh when new judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban joined Randy Jackson. Another added bonus to the show was the introduction of the American Idol bus tour. When the tour hit the Chicago streets, Alisabeth knew she had to audition.
Alisabeth was a unique contestant. Particularly her name stood out. The singer changed her name to just Alisabeth, inspired by pop icon Madonna. She added Von Presley to honor Elvis Presley. Alisabeth believes she is the reincarnation of the rock & roll legend.
Unfortunately, Alisabeth did not make much noise during her time on Idol and was eliminated during Hollywood week. The setback did not stop the singer. A decade later she now has the chance of a lifetime on American Song Contest.
Alisabeth has consistently put out original songs and videos since her time on the show. The singer, who was inspired by Michael Jackson, has not been afraid to show her eccentric side. After losing her father to cancer, Alisabeth poured everything into her second album Diamonds In the Blackout. The singer embodied Lady Gaga mixed with an 80’s electric sound to produce an independent album.
The Idol alum was bold and had no issues with being a local talent who continues to cater to her loyal fan base. She continues to sell out shows while inviting her followers into her colorful life. Her Christmas show recently sold out the Paramount Theater in Chicago. Alisabeth’s Pink Renegade album is coming soon.
‘American Song Contest’ Premieres March 21 on NBC
American Song Contest includes each of the 50 states, five territories, and Washington D.C. Each location will have one artist participating. These artists can be solo, a duo, bands, or a DJ. Artists will perform an original song throughout every round of the competition. The winner is determined from fan votes and a jury of music industry professionals.
Alisabeth has a chance to redeem herself when she represents Iowa when American Song Contest premieres. The singing competition is hosted by American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg. Singers Jewel, Sisqo, and Michael Bolton will also compete this season.
