The Voice Season 25 returned this week for even more Blind Auditions on Monday and Tuesday night, as the coaches continued to fill up their teams. This week’s episodes featured two impressive four-chair turns.
The Voice Had Two Four-Chair Turns This Week
During Monday night’s show, 21-year-old Madison Curbelo auditioned with a unique cover of “Stand By Me” that turned John Legend’s chair almost immediately. The rest of the coaches eventually followed suit, making Madison a four-chair turn.
Madison shared that she had auditioned for the show in Season 20 but didn’t make it. She worked on finding herself as an artist before returning to the show this season. After the coaches shared their pitches, Madison chose to join Dan + Shay’s team.
On Tuesday night’s show, 22-year-old Mafe performed “Bésame Mucho,” turning all four chairs within the first 30 seconds. Mafe shared with the coaches that she currently lives in Miami but is originally from Venezuela.
Reba McEntire told the singer that she “touched my heart and soul.” Chance the Rapper actually suggested that Mafe would do “exceptionally well” if she joined Legend’s team. Mafe took the advice, opting to join Team Legend.
So far this season, Legend and Chance both have two four-chair turns on each of their teams, while Dan + Shay have one. McEntire is the only coach who doesn’t have a four-chair turn on her team yet.
Oldest Contestant of the Season Impresses the Coaches
Monday’s episode kicked off with an audition from 49-year-old Bryan Olesen, who is the oldest contestant of the season so far. He sang OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out,” turning three chairs almost immediately.
McEntire told Bryan that his performance was “absolutely incredible.” Legend called it “the best audition we’ve seen,” comparing him to Bono. Bryan brought his daughter out on stage, and they performed a duet. Dan + Shay invited them to sit in their double chair, but ultimately, Bryan chose to join Team Legend.
