The Voice Australia is currently premiering in full force, with a new judging panel. As the season continues on Channel 7, celebrity coach salaries have allegedly leaked. Apparently, the network is “paying the big bucks” for this celebrity cast.
Adam Lambert’s The Voice AU Salary Leaks
On Monday, August 26, Yahoo reported the leaked salaries of The Voice AU cast. For those who may not know, the show’s celebrity panel includes LeAnn Rimes, Adam Lambert and Kate Miller-Heidke. The publication also shared Guy Sebastian’s pay raise.
The decision to switch up the panel for Season 13 of the show was decision upon because it “keeps the show fresh and exciting,” according to Yahoo. This also, allegedly is “a strategic way for bosses to ‘keep production costs down’.” Apparently, the network is trying “to find more than $100 million in savings across business.”

It has been revealed that Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes are “receiving between $750,000 and $1.2 million” for this season. According to the original publication, this is “considerably less” than former coaches Rita Ora and Jason Derulo. That being said, other new coach Kate Miller-Heidke “is believed to be receiving ‘upwards of $500,000’.”
Yahoo’s insider simply explained that The Voice‘s main expense on the series is the coaching panel. Therefore, they look for stars “who are widely known, but not necessarily relevant right now.” They consider this to be “a good way to cut costs.”
Guy Sebastian’s Salary Also Leaks
For those who may not be familiar with The Voice AU, Guy Sebastian, the first ever winner of Australian Idol, has been a coach on The Voice AU since 2019. His presence on the show has made many people compare him to Blake Shelton on the American The Voice series.
Guy Sebastian reportedly signed on to The Voice AU with “a contract worth $750,000-a-season.” Now, it’s believed that his contract is worth $1 million. In 2022, Guy Sebastian reportedly stalled negotiations with the network due to finding out that he and Jess Mauboy were being paid less than Rita Ora and Keith Urban. At the time, Guy considered the pay differences to be “unfair and unsustainable.”
