Heidi Klum’s daughter Leni might be the next big supermodel. The 16-year-old apparently wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps, and Heidi is ready to support her dream.

Earlier this week, Heidi told People about Leni’s modeling ambitions. Read on to find out what Leni thinks about her mom’s career, and how Heidi feels about passing the torch to her daughter.

Heidi Klum’s Daughter Leni Wants To Be A Model

Heidi said Leni likes spending time on the set of Germany’s Next Top Model, which Heidi hosts. She’s apparently interested in the various jobs involved in producing the TV show. “She does want to do what I do,” Heidi said.

“Who knows, maybe in five years when I’m not hosting the show anymore maybe it’s going to be like Germany’s Next Top Model by Leni Klum instead of Heidi Klum,” Heidi added.

She explained that Leni has had modeling offers over the years, but Heidi turned them down to protect her privacy, saying she was “too young.” However, she added, “But she’s driving a car now, she’s 16, so I figured if you can do that, you can also model now if this is what you wish to do.”

“Obviously, as a mother, [I want my] child to do what she wants to do,” Heidi said. “The industry is great and I love it and I’ve been in it for over 20 years but it’s also, it’s a lot of traveling, it’s different. You have to be a strong person, especially as a woman you have to be very strong.”

Heidi Is Launching A Disney Villains Collection

Leni might also want to emulate her mother’s interest in fashion design. Heidi recently launched a clothing line with Disney Villains, available on Amazon. The collection includes 15 pieces, mostly under $60.

“When you see these amazing villains and how they are created and how they look, it’s so easy to come up with a line,” Heidi told People. “I could have gone on and on and on and on forever.”

The line features characters such as Ursula and Maleficent, on items like T-shirts, sweatpants, and hoodies. One two-piece Maleficent set even glows in the dark. They collection’s pieces are available in limited quantities, so shop fast.
