Gwen Stefani to Duet with Carly Pearce at CMT Music Awards

Former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani is continuing her foray into country music with an upcoming performance the CMT Music Awards. Stefani will take the stage with singer Carly Pearce during the event this Sunday, April 2.
Gwen Stefani to Perform at CMT Music Awards
In recent years, Stefani has broken into the country genre through duets with her husband Blake Shelton. Now she’s gearing up to perform on one of country’s biggest nights. It was recently announced that she’ll be delivering a “a special one-of-a-kind performance” with Carly Pearce.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of CMT’s Next Women Of Country, Alanis Morissette will also make her debut on the CMT stage to perform with Next Women of Country alumni Ingrid Andress, Lainey Wilson, Madeline Edwards, and Morgan Wade, with Jackie Venson on guitar.
The event will also honor Shania Twain with the third CMT Equal Play Award. Meanwhile, AGT country trio Chapel Hart will be performing on the Ram Trucks Side Stage, singing their song “You Can Have Him Jolene.”

Stefani Recently Surprised Pearce with Lip Products
This Sunday marks the first time Stefani and Pearce have taken the stage together, but it’s not the first time they’ve met. Earlier this month, Stefani surprised Pearce with a box of products from her line GXVE Beauty.
“I’ve been such a fan of @gxvebeauty lip products, wearing them for EVERY show & this sweet angel heard about it and surprised me with the most amazing gift box! I ♥️ you big @gwenstefani!!!” Pearce wrote to caption the video of Stefani’s surprise.
Pearce was a guest performer on Blake Shelton’s recent Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, which just finished up. Stefani also appeared with her husband during the tour, as the couple performed together.
The CMT Music Awards will air this Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
