Stefani said she and Shelton are “constantly working” at their home in Oklahoma, where the singer enjoys gardening. She added that she “didn’t see any of this coming with Blake,” whom she married in 2021.

“It was an amazing gift to experience love like that for the first time,” Stefani said of their romance. “He’s changed my life … when I [started dating] Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy.'”

The No Doubt star reflected on her early days as a mom, as she took her oldest son Kingston on a world tour when he was 9 months old. She said that was “when things got really hard for me emotionally,” adding, “That time is so precious, and you don’t want to miss anything.”

“When my kids were teenagers, I really wanted to make sure that I was home for them — and here we are,” Stefani said of her life these days.

How Does Stefani Feel About Shelton Leaving The Voice?

Earlier this year, Shelton left The Voice after 23 seasons as a coach. He and Stefani first met on the show, and they appeared on several seasons together. Stefani said Shelton’s decision to leave was “a huge family choice.”

“I am happy for him because he has space to do all these other hobbies and things he wants to do,” the singer said, adding that she was “really weirded out” when she was first asked to return as a coach for Season 24, as she wondered, “What’s it going to be like without Blake?”

Ultimately, Stefani said she and her fellow coaches (Niall Horan, John Legend, and Reba McEntire) “are having so much fun” this season. She explained, “At the end of the day, coaching these humans who are so gifted … I love it.”
