Gwen Stefani Calls Upcoming Music: “Exciting and Magical”

Although 2024 is still days away, Gwen Stefani is definitely ready to welcome in 2024 with new music. The pop superstar recently revealed that she’s finally found the courage to release new songs.


Gwen Stefani Says New Music is Coming in 2024

The “Rich Girl” hitmaker may not be acting as coach on The Voice Season 25, but her schedule will not be empty. Ahead of the singing competition’s season 24 Finale, Stefani said she’s got big plans for her music career in 2024.

“I’m actually putting out music, so I’m excited about that,” she told ET. “I’ve been working on this for a long time. I’ve finally landed in that place where I’m obsessed, where I can’t stop listening, so I feel like I’m somewhere.”

According to Stefani, she’s been “casually” working on music since 2020. However, As a mother of three, Gwen admitted that she sometimes finds it difficult to give herself a creative space. Fortunately though, after getting to the studio numerous time, she’s finally “hit that zone.


“I’m just trying to find like little pockets of time to make music and it still never gets old,” she said. “It’s still so exciting and magical.”

Over the past couple of years, Stefani has managed to release a few songs. In 2020, the singer put out “Let Me Re-Introduce Myself.” She then dropped “Slow Clap” in 2021. Then, this year, she released “True Babe.” In 2017, released her last album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas.

In the interview, Stefani also stated her amazement over The Voice Season 24’s remaining talents. For those who may not know, the coach failed to secure a spot for her team in the Finale after BIAS got eliminated during the Live Shows. Be that as it may, Stefani doesn’t have any bitter sentiments about the results.


“I feel sad and excited at the same time,” she said. “This season has so many incredible singers and I had such an amazing team of amazing people… Everybody was just so inspiring and sweet.”

She Reflects on Looming 20th Anniversary of Her Solo Debut Album

Next year, Stefani will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the No Doubt frontwoman’s debut solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The pop megastar recently reflected on the upcoming milestone.

“It had been building up my whole life,” she said. “There was this freedom that I had in me that I was just, like, I don’t even know where it was coming from. It just had to happen.”

When asked what’s her favorite track from the album, she said that “Hollablack Girl” has a special place in her heart. Nevertheless, she treats every song in Love. Angel. Music. Baby. as an important chunk of the collection.

“It was just such an amazing time and a magical time,” she said. “There’s just so many good songs [on that album, so many memories…  ‘Hollaback Girl’ — to be able to write a song like that with Pharrell that we knew that when we wrote it, we were like, ‘OK, we just hit someplace that no one’s ever gone, like, this song is crazy.”
