TBS

Reading Time: 3 minutes

On Thursday night, a new talent show premiered on TBS called Go-Big Show. Host Bert Kreischer described it as “the most extreme talent show ever,” with contestants going head to head to show off their dangerous and unique abilities.

The premiere episode featured three match-ups, featuring a few familiar talents (magic, circus performing, and BMX) and a few unfamiliar ones. For example, have you ever seen someone stick cans to their face using only their pores? Read on to find out more about these wild acts.

Kurtis Downs vs. Grace Good

The first match-up of the night pitted a freestyle BMX rider against a circus performer. Kurtis rose his bike on a steep ramp and flipped through the air, and then took judges Cody Rhodes and Snoop Dogg up with him as he rode a big-wheel. Cody said he “conquered fear.”

WHO ARE THE ‘GO-BIG SHOW’ JUDGES? MEET THEM ALL

Grace balanced on a giant ball while spinning flaming hoops. She even swung them around her hips at one point, and then she swallowed the flame. Jennifer Nettles told her, “That was a performance.” The judges gave Grace a score of 90, and Kurtis a score of 96, meaning he moved on while Grace was eliminated.

Andrew S. vs. Scott Anderson

The night’s second match-up included a “sideshow artist” who specializes in “pain for fun.” He went up against a magician. First, Andrew tied up Rosario Dawson and then lifted her with chains attached to his face while he swallowed a sword. Snoop Dogg said it was “hard to watch” and then “hard not to watch.”

Scott performed with his daughter as one of his assistants. His other assistant hid in a box, then they took it apart and put swords through it. She ended up being just fine. Cody got emotional talking about their family bond. Andrew and Scott ended up with tied scores of 95, and Bert flipped a coin to decide that Andrew would move on.

Orissa Kelly vs. Jamie Keeton

The final match-up of the night featured a foot archer against a self-proclaimed “mutant.” Orissa shot a flaming bow and arrow with her feet while balanced upside down. Snoop called it a “three-piece dinner.”

Jamie introduced himself as “Can Head” and said his pores are like suction cups. He proceeded to stick cans and bottles to his head and pour people drinks. Cody questioned whether Jamie could go up against the other acts. The judges gave Orissa a score of 89, and Jamie a score of 79, meaning Orissa moved on.

The three contestants who earned higher scores in their match-ups will now go on to the semifinals. The Go-Big Show will return next week at the same time.
