Gabby Windey Comes Out, Reveals She’s Dating a Woman

The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey surprised fans on Wednesday by revealing that she’s in a relationship with a woman. During an interview on The View, Windey opened up about what it was like coming to terms with her sexuality, and how she wants to “live my truth.”

On Wednesday, Windey posted a series of photos to Instagram showing her and her girlfriend Robby Hoffman. As she wrote in the caption, “Told you I’m a girls girl!!” The former DWTS contestant also appeared on The View this morning to share the news.
“I always just want to live my truth, and my story,” Windey said, according to The Wrap. “And I have been seeing someone for a couple months, and I’ve been keeping it a little more private because it is a bigger story and a bigger conversation, because I’m dating a girl!”
Windey joked that even she was surprised to end up with a woman, saying “it was always a whisper in me that just got louder and louder, and I didn’t really know to pay attention to it.” She admitted that she had to “navigate through the shame” but ultimately decided to “do me, do what I want, figure it out later.”
Co-host Joy Behar asked Windey, “So is it girls now? That’s it, girls?” to which Windey replied, “I think so. I think it’s just like, my girl. She’s the best.”

Who Is Windey’s Girlfriend, Robby Hoffman?
In her Instagram post announcing her relationship, Windey tagged her girlfriend, whose name is Robby Hoffman. Hoffman is a comedian and writer who has worked on shows such as The Chris Gethard Show and Workin’ Moms.
Hoffman released her first stand-up comedy special, titled I’m Nervous, in 2019. In 2021, it was announced that Hoffman was developing an autobiographical series called Rivkah with Showtime and A24.
Windey took to Instagram stories on Wednesday to say that she’s had “the best experience over these last three months,” adding, “I’ve been in a relationship like I feel like I’ve never had before.”
She went on to share a cute photo of her and Hoffman kissing backstage during her appearance on The View. Hoffman reshared the photo on her own stories and wrote, “Guys some news… I am gay.”
