Some fans of LEGO Masters were disappointed to discover this week that the Season 3 premiere has been pushed back. The season was initially announced to kick off on Tuesday night, but FOX recently decided to delay ituntil September 21.
LEGO Masters Season 3 Premiere Delayed
In April, LEGO Masters announced that Season 3 would premiere May 31 on FOX, with host Will Arnett returning with a new group of talented contestants. However, Deadline reported last month that the premiere was pushed back to later in the season.
FOX also announced that the show is getting a celebrity spin-off called Celebrity LEGO Masters: Holiday Bricktacular. This will be a “multiple-night event” presumably airing later this year around the holiday season.
Some fans missed out on news of the schedule change and tuned in to FOX on Tuesday night. One Instagram follower commented that they were counting down the days until the premiere and didn’t want to spoil themselves by looking up news as it got closer.
Another fan wrote, “Super lame to push the date so last minute.” Viewers already dealt with frustration last season, when the show skipped several weeks without showing a new episode.
The good news is that, while the new Season 3 premiere date hasn’t been announced, fans can watch a preview of the new competition this Sunday night. LEGO Masters announced the preview on Instagram, saying it will air on FOX June 5 at 8:30/7:30c.
The preview is also a tie-in with the new movie Jurassic World: Dominion, which comes out June 10. The show posted a photo of Arnett on the set of the show looking up at a dinosaur.
The show has also announced this season’s contestants. The LEGO MastersInstagram account posted two slideshows introducing the teams who will be competing for the trophy in Season 3. Hopefully fans won’t have to wait too long to see them start creating.
