‘The Four’s Zhavia Shares A Cover Of The Police’s ‘Roxanne’

We are all eagerly awaiting new original music from the one and only Zhavia who dominated last season of The Four. But to hold us over until she finishes her new album, we have this video. It’s a cover of The Police classic Roxanne.
Roxanne tells the tale of a young prostitute with whom Sting has fallen in love. He’s basically trying to talk her out of sex work. This is a little problematic as I imagine it’s Roxanne’s only source of income. I guess Sting could support her with his royalties and occasional tours. At any rate, it’s one of the greatest songs of the 80’s and Zhavia makes it her own.
That’s the thing about Zhavia. That is precisely what makes her so special. She can take almost any song by any artist and put her own spin on it.
