Former ‘AGT’ Contestant Annie Jones Auditions for ‘The Voice Australia’

Former America’s Got Talent contestant Annie Jones is taking her talents to another competition show — The Voice Australia. Annie turned three coaches’ chairs with her incredible Blind Audition to “Holding Out for a Hero.”
AGT Star Annie Jones Auditions for The Voice Australia
Annie — who is from Melbourne, Australia — was just 12 years old when she auditioned for AGT back in 2020. She’s now 16 and auditioning for The Voice in her home country. She took the stage on the current season to sing “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler.
The young singer put a jazzy spin on the song, impressing the coaches. Adam Lambert, Guy Sebastian, and Kate Miller-Heidke all turned around at practically the same time, when they heard Annie belt out a note.
LeAnn Rimes chose not to turn around, but she still clearly enjoyed the performance, as she could be seen dancing along in her chair as Annie sang. As Lambert pointed out after the audition, Annie was performing his arrangement of the song, joking, “Smart girl.”
The coaches praised Annie’s performance, but she could only choose one of them. Unsurprisingly, considering her song choice, she chose to join Adam’s team. How far will she go in the competition? We’ll have to wait and see.

How Far Did Annie Go on AGT?
Annie auditioned for AGT Season 15 in 2020, when she was 12 years old. She chose to sing “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I, even showing off some fun dance moves that had the judges smiling as she performed.
The panel gave Annie a standing ovation. Howie Mandel called her “a beautiful little dance monkey,” adding, “You’re a great performer. You sound great. You’re a star, and the world now knows you.” Simon Cowell said he could tell how much she loves the song.
Annie ended up making it to the Quarterfinals, where she sang “Rain on Me” by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. However, she didn’t receive enough votes to move on to the Semifinals, so she was eliminated from the competition.
