The Masked Singer is returning for Season 13 later this month, and the show has been teasing the new competition with promos and trailers. One eagle-eyed fan on Reddit noticed a potential spoiler in one of the teasers, which might give away which contestants will be moving on.
Fans Notice Potential Spoiler in The Masked Singer Teaser
Earlier this week, a fan on the Masked Singer subreddit started a thread titled “Pretty Big Spoilers From the New Trailer,” which included a still image of the revealing moment. It shows Ant, Coral, and Paparazzo standing on stage together.
“Guess these are the group A finalists lmao,” the original poster added in a comment. The three contestants featured have already been revealed as members of Group A, along with Honey Pot and Fuzzy Peas.
Another commenter pointed out that, based on the background, it appears that the Group A Finals will take place on the night of the Rat Pack tribute. Other themes for this season will include Shrek, the Grand Ole Opry, and Ghostbusters.
It’s the kind of spoiler that only fans in the know will probably even notice, but it’s surprising that the show let it slip through. As one Redditor commented, “They need to fire whoever is in charge of editing trailers for episodes. They keep leaking the entire season.”
The Masked Singer is marketing this season of the show as “Lucky 13,” and in keeping with the theme, we’ll be introduced to a new character called Lucky Duck. Similar to Cluedle-Doo in Season 5, this character will pop in throughout the season to offer clues.
Their identity will be revealed at the end of the competition, and the show has teased that they might have a connection to someone on the show. The same thing happened with Cluedle-Doo, who was revealed to be panelist Jenny McCarthy’s husband Donnie Wahlberg.
