From humble beginnings on the streets of Manila, Philippines, Junior New System has risen to international stardom. This all-male dance group, composed of 11 close-knit friends, has defied expectations and overcome adversity to become a force to be reckoned with in the world of dance. Here’s everything you need to know about the all-male dance group competing on America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League.

Junior New System Members Are Friends Who Grew Up Together

For this group, the journey to success hasn’t been easy. Originating from the slums of Manila, they’ve faced hardships that most can’t imagine. However, their resilience and dedication to their art have taken them places they could only dream of. They have been dancing together for 14 years and first gained attention on Asia’s Got Talent in 2015.

Junior New System rose to fame as contenders in Asia’s Got Talent, propelling them to the Grand Final stage and also granting them substantial exposure across the Philippines and throughout Asia. Following this breakthrough, their popularity soared, securing them invitations to headline television shows, corporate functions, private events, and government-sponsored gatherings not just in their homeland but also in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Their growing prominence garnered prestigious accolades, including the esteemed Aliw Award for Best Dance Company in 2015 and a People’s Choice Award for Best Dance Performing Group in 2016.

In July 2016, Junior New System achieved their most significant milestones by dominating the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in California, USA. They not only secured gold medals in all their competing categories but also clinched the titles of Senior Dance Group Champion of the World and Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World.

They Wowed Audiences by Dancing With Six-Inch Heels

Their debut on AGT in 2018 was nothing short of phenomenal. Despite their humble beginnings as street children, this determined crew wowed the judges with their unique routine, incorporating jaw-dropping moves and a surprising twist—dancing flawlessly in six-inch heels.

Switching from sneakers to stilettos midway through their performance to Jessie J’s “Bang Bang,” they stunned the audience with a mix of gymnastics, stadium-style choreography, and gravity-defying flips.

The judges, including Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Mel B, were left awestruck. Simon predicted their act would be the talk of the town, praising not just their heels but their passion and personality. Their unity also moved Mel B, prompting her to praise their journey from their roots to their present success.
