Eminem Stuns Ed Sheeran Fans in Detroit for Surprise Duets of “Lose Yourself,” “Stan”

Global rap icon Eminem left fans in awe after he appeared during Ed Sheeran’s concert in Detroit. The duo joined forces on stage to perform two splendid duets from the rapper’s discography.
Eminem Unites with Ed Sheeran Onstage in Detroit
Sheeran hinted about the surprise by telling the audience that he wanted to perform a “cover” of an Eminem song. As he sang the lines of “Lose Yourself” while strumming his acoustic guitar, Eminem appeared and started rapping.
The “Venom” singer, who was wearing his signature black hoodie complemented by a baseball cap, energetically roamed the stage while Sheeran backed him with his guitar.
“I want to say one thing,” he said. “He was going to come on and do one song, and I say, ‘You can’t come on in Detroit and only do one song, do you want another song?'”
The pair then belted out the rapper’s 2000 smash hit “Stan.” During the chorus, the “Thinking Out Loud” hitmaker filled in Dido’s vocals.
Eminem ended the two-song set by“Detroit, I missed you!” to the already hyped up crowd.
Sheeran’s Detroit concert isn’t the first time that the pair’s undeniable chemistry is seen. For those who may not know, they performed “Stan” at Eminem’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2020.
Fans Gush Over the Duo’s Performances
Upon witnessing Sheeran and Eminem’s duet, fans quickly expressed their delight over the surprise. Several users went to Twitter to praise Eminem’s rapping skills.
“Eminem is the Goat of Goats no one on his level,” one user wrote.
“I can’t say that I know (m)any of his songs or anything really about him, but this is really cool. And it’s a great example of how and why live music will never die. You just can’t beat it,” another person tweeted.
Meanwhile, one user stated that Sheeran and Eminem’s performance is so “unforgettable” that it becomes one of their “personal fav music moments.”
Eminem’s surprise appearance comes amid the looming end of Sheeran’s US tour which will culminate in Los Angeles this September.
