Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro returned on Monday night for another episode, as pro Witney Carson appeared as a guest mentor and judge. The remaining five dancers were tasked with teaching a routine to an amateur.
DWTS: The Next Pro Challenges Dancers to Teach Amateurs
This week, the remaining five contestants on DWTS: The Next Pro were paired up with social media personalities who have no ballroom dancing experience. They had two days to teach their partners a routine in an assigned style, with reigning Mirrorball champion Witney Carson serving as a guest mentor and judge.
Several dancers wowed the judges with their coaching abilities, including Allen, who was paired up with Zaira Ladisla for a romantic waltz routine. Shirley Ballas predicted that Allen will be a “force to be reckoned with.”
The judges were also impressed by Adele, who danced the tango with Anthony Riccardo. Although Anthony rated his confidence at a four out of 10 ahead of the ambitious performance, they ended up delivering a strong routine. Carson praised Adele for the subtle way she slowed Anthony down during the dance.
AJ and his partner Bailey McKnight also wowed with their Viennese waltz, as Shirley Ballas said it was “miraculous” that they were able to put it together in two days. AJ has previous coaching experience on Strictly Come Dancing.

Who Was Eliminated This Week?
At the end of the night, Nina and Selena were in the bottom two. Selena’s quickstep with Jeremy Urann was fun, but the judges wanted to see more quickstep content in the routine, particularly more traveling across the floor.
Meanwhile, Nina and her partner Jay Wyson danced a foxtrot. The judges noted that Nina was behind on teaching Jay the choreography during rehearsal, and Shirley Ballas noticed some “fundamental issues” with technique in the final routine.
