Dancing With the Stars returned to ABC with the highly anticipated yacht rock themed night. This week, the dancing pairs will be taking on hit songs from the 1960’s and 1970’s all while working for the votes of the American audience. It’s only the third week of the competition, and the stars are beginning to get competitive.
Dancing With the Stars Rehearsals Featured 2 Injuries This Week
The first performance of the night was Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov. They danced a foxtrot to “Hold the Line” by Toto. Derek Hough commented on the dance, saying that Amber makes the ballroom her own ice rink each time she steps on the stage. The pair earned 24 out of 30 points on this performance.
Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa were the next pair to perform during the third night of the competition. The actress, though she was the second to perform, was also the second to have an off-stage injury. Julia popped a rib during rehearsal, while Amber accidentally gave her partner a bloody nose. Luckily, Julia was healed enough to perform a salsa to “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do) by Daryl Hall and John Oates. They earned a 19 out of 30 for this performance.
It was officially Guillermo Rodriguez’s first week in frame. His week three foxtrot was to “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)” by Rupert Holmes. Even though Guillermo was told he isn’t quite leading yet, his hard working is paying off, earning he and partner Witney Carson 15 out of 30 points.
The next dance of the night was a quickstep by Tatyana Ali and her partner Jan Ravnik. Together, they danced to “Maneater” by Daryl Hall and John Oates. This dance was called Tatyana’s “breakthrough” meaning she is beginning to get the groove in the ballroom. They earned 21 out of 30 points.

Traitors Castmates Turn Heads With Another Impressive Dance
Actor Harry Shum Jr and his partner Jenna Johnson took the stage this week with a jive to “You Make my Dreams (Come True)” by Daryl Hall and John Oates. The pair’s dance was energetic, earning 24 out of 30 points.
The second half of the night kicked off with musician Taylor Hanson and his partner Britt Stewart. In this round, Taylor chose to dance to “What a Fool Believes” by The Doobie Brothers, which he sang to the group at the GRAMMY Hall of Fame Gala. The pair’s foxtrot earned them 18 out of 30 points.
Up next was Traitors castmates Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas. Together, the pair performed a quickstep to “Turn Your Love Around” by George Benson. Judges absolutely loved this performance, saying it was a masterclass in the dance style. They earned 22 out of 30 points.

Summer House star Ciara Miller returned to the stage with partner Brandon Armstrong for a cha cha to “Never Too Much” by Luther Vandross. They earned 18 out of 30 for this performance. Next up was Savannah Banana player Jackson Olsen and Emma Slater. Together they took on a Paso Doble to Easy Lover” by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins. They earned 18 out of 30 points.
Taylor Hanson Eliminated at End of Yacht Rock Night
Last week, Connor Wood fought through a misstep and overall bad performance. This week, Connor was trying to redeem himself with a foxtrot to “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac. Their dance earned 20 out of 30 points, their best performance yet.
Jenna Dewan then took the stage with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. In this round, they danced a samba to “Africa” by Toto. Their dance, even with missteps earned a 21 out of 30 points. Tyler Cameron returned to the ballroom with partner Sharna Burgess. They danced a jive this week to “Still the One” by Orleans, earning 17 out of 30 points.
The final pair of the night was Ezra Frech and his partner Daniella Karagach. Together, they performed a foxtrot to “Just the Two of Us” Grover Washington Jr. ft Bill Withers. They earned a 21 out of 30 for this performance.
After the pairs dwindled down, the three remaining pairs (not necessarily the lowest) were: Guillermo and Witney, Taylor and Britt, and Jackson and Emma. Unfortunately, Taylor and Britt were announced as the couple going home in the third week of the competition.
