‘DWTS’ Recap: Jason Mraz Redeems Himself on Taylor Swift Night

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 returned on Tuesday for Taylor Swift Night, as the remaining six couples danced to some of the pop star’s biggest hits. Jason Mraz earned his first perfect score of the season for his Argentine Tango. At the end of the night, Harry Jowsey and his partner Rylee Arnold were eliminated.
Jason Mraz Earns His First Perfect Score on DWTS
During Tuesday’s episode, Jason Mraz shared his determination to move up the leaderboard and redeem himself after last week’s scores. He did that and then some, as he and his partner Daniella Karagach danced a smooth Argentine Tango to “Don’t Blame Me.”
Judge Bruno Tonioli called Jason a “true leading man,” saying it was a “tour de force” performance. Carrie Anne Inaba called it “powerful,” while Derek Hough declared, “Jason Mraz is back!” Jason earned a perfect score of 40 out of 40.
Later in the night, Jason went up against Charity Lawson and her partner Artem Chigvintsev in a relay Cha Cha to “Lavender Haze.” The judges chose Jason as the relay winner, giving him three bonus points and putting his total score at 43 — the highest of the night.
Behind him were Xochtil Gomez and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. They earned a score of 38 for their Quickstep to “Paper Rings.” Then later, Xochitl won her relay Viennese Waltz to “Lover” against Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov. The three extra points brought her total score to 41.

Harry Jowsey, Rylee Arnold Were Eliminated
At the end of the night, co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough announced the results after voting closed. Ribeiro shared that the show received more votes during Wednesday’s show than any other episode of the season.
Ultimately, we had to say goodbye to Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold. During this week’s episode, they danced a Rumba to “August,” earning a score of 30 out of 40 from the judges. Later, they went up against Alyson Hannigan and her partner Sasha Farber in a relay Jive to “Shake It Off.” Alyson was named the winner, bringing her total score to 32.
