Dancing With the Stars is back! The entire cast is officially kicking off the competition against one another this week. This week’s theme was Viral Hits night. All songs featured in the episode have gone viral online, so there will be a few songs you recognize!
Dancing With the Stars Returns with Viral Hits Night
Kicking off the night was Jenna DeWan and Val Chmerkovskiy. Together they danced a jive to “Animal” by Katseye. Their dance was so good that Bruno Tonioli said they didn’t miss a single beat. They earned a score of 21 out of 30 for this performance.
This week, Ciara Miller returned to the stage with partner Brandon Armstrong in frame. Together, they performed a tango to “No Broke Boys” by Disco Lines and Tinashe. This week, Ciara and Brandon earned an 18 out of 30.
The third dance of the episode was Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron and his partner Sharna Burgess. They performed a salsa to “Girls” by The Kid Laroi and earned 16 out of 30 points. Technicality wise, this dance was more lifts and less of a salsa. Derek Hough specifically scored them low for the dance style being iffy.

Up next was actress Julia Stiles, who performed a tango to “The Door” by Teddy Swims. She and Ezra Sosa earned 16 out of 30 points for this performance. Judges commented on her posture, saying it’s wonderful, but she almost remains too straight up during the dance.
Giada De Laurentiis Scores Low Due to Lack of Synchronization
Savannah Banana Jackson Olsen took the stage dancing a Foxtrot with Emma Slater. Together, they performed to “That’s So True” by Gracie Abrams. They scored 18 out of 30 points. Ultimately, judges gave Jackson credit for holding up his frame better this week.
Dancing the salsa next is Giada De Laurentiis and partner Alan Bersten. They performed the dance style to “Bella Ciao” by Becky G. The pair earned 4s across the board, 12 out of 30 points.
Comedian Connor Wood returned to the stage with partner Rylee Arnold this week with a tango to “12 to 12” by sombr. Tonioli immediately called out Connor’s mistakes, admitting that he has to point them out, but the good parts of the dance were extremely good. Even with the mistakes, the pair earned 15 out of 30 points.

Paralympian Ezra Frech returned to the ballroom with a Cha Cha to “Low” by Flo Rida. Dancing with Daniella Karagach, he earned 21 out of 30 points. Once again the professional did an amazing job of tailoring the choreography to the amputee.
Starting off the second hour of the episode is actress Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik. They performed a Foxtrot to “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish. The performance’s theme was returning to loving yourself. Together, they earned 18 out of 30 points.
Olympian Amber Glenn danced a tango with partner Pasha Pashkov to “All The Things She Said” by Harrison in tonight’s competition. Their performance earned 21 out of 30 points for the dance.

Next was Jimmy Kimmel Live star Guillermo, who danced a Paso Doble with partner Witney Carson. They performed to “Where Have You Been” Rihanna and earned 12 out of 30 points. Then, Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart performed a cha cha to “Cake by The Ocean” by DNCE. Their sultry cha cha earned them 15 out of 30 points.
Giada De Laurentiis Gets Eliminated in DWTS Week 2
The first of the final two dances of the night was Harry Shum Jr and his partner Jenna Johnson. They performed a Viennese Waltz to “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls. Together, they earned 18 out of 30 points. Then, the final pairing was Traitors stars Maura Higgins and Mark ballas. They performed a cha cha to iconic hit “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire and earned 19 out of 30 points.
After the pairs dwindled down, the three remaining pairs (not necessarily the lowest) were: Guillermo and Witney, Giada and Alan, and Tyler and Sharna. Unfortunately, Giada and Alan was announced as the couple going home in the second week of the competition.
