‘DWTS’ Pro Emma Slater Files for Divorce from Husband Sasha Farber

Dancing with the Stars pros Emma Slater and Sasha Farber have been separated since last year, and now Slater has reportedly filed for divorce. The pair has been married for nearly five years. According to court documents, the split was amicable.
Emma Slater Files for Divorce from Sasha Farber
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Slater cited “irreconcilable differences” when filing for divorce from Farber. She also apparently wants to terminate the possibility for spousal support. Since the couple has no children, no child support is necessary.
“Petitioner & Respondent intend on amicably resolving all property issues in a subsequent Stipulated Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage,” the documents reportedly read. “Petitioner reserves the right to amend if necessary.”
According to The Blast, Slater and Farber have reportedly been separated since April of last year. The news of their split was confirmed in August. However, both dancers joined Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars following news of their separation.

The Couple Got Married in 2018
Slater and Farber got engaged on Dancing with the Stars in 2016, and they tied the knot almost five years ago, in March of 2018. The couple has remained supportive of each other even after separating, as Slater posted a tribute to Farber and his dance partner Selma Blair after they left the show last season.
“I think it’s been a challenging year for a lot of people,” Slater said last year when asked about the split. “For me, I just kind of surround myself with a lot of friends and just try to uplift and do the best I can, and I really do think that that’s the same for almost everybody.”
Some DWTS fans have held out hope that the couple would get back together, especially after they danced together for the show’s live tour earlier this year. However, other fans have been shipping Slater with her Season 31 partner Trevor Donovan.
