Fans can expect the next episode of Dancing With the Stars to be phenomenal, since the competition is getting down to the best of the best. The eight remaining pairs are still gunning for their well-deserved spots following the upcoming ’90s-themed night.

Dancing With the Stars‘s ’90s Night Features Funk, Hip-Hop Guest Artists

The ninth episode of DWTS is absolutely expected to bring us back to when pop culture and music looked like pleather pants and halter tops. Dance routines will feature ‘90s classics, challenging the couples to move in a fast, yet controlled fashion.

The evening will begin with a sensation performance featuring the Dancing With the Stars professional dancers. They will dance to “Whatta Man” performed live by hip-hop band Salt-N-Pepa and R&B quartet En Vogue. Along with the mentioned special guests are rapper Vanilla Ice and hip-hop duo Kids ‘N Play.

Relay Dance Competition Comes Back

Another element to look forward to is the return of Relay Dance competition. Known for their iconic hits during the ’90s, all the special guests will perform live to accompany the relay dances. This portion of the competition is important because each winner will secure five bonus points to help them be safe from elimination.

Shangela and Gleb Savchenko will go up against Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart, dancing the Cha Cha to Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby.” Meanwhile, Vinny Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki and Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater will Samba to “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” by En Vogue.

Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev will compete against Wayne Brady and Witney Carson. The two pairs will dance Samba to “Shoop” by Salt-N-Pepa. While, Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas are pitted against Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy, tasked to move Salsa to “Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody” by Kid ‘N Play.

Songs, Dance Styles Revealed

The remaining pairs will keep the ballroom alive through a variety of duo dance styles. Wayne and Witney will perform a Salsa routine to “Motownphilly” by Boyz II Men. Doing the same style are Trevor and Emma, to Aqua’s “Barbie Girl.”

Charli and Mark will Tango their way to “Song 2” by Blur. Meanwhile, Vinny and Koko will dance in the same style to “What Is Love” by Haddaway. Performing Samba are two dancing pairs, Shangela and Gleb, and Gabby and Val. They will perform “Spice Up Your Life” by Spice Girls, and “Livin’ La Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin, respectively.

On the other hand, Heidi and Artem are assigned to perform Contemporary to “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette. Lastly, Daniel and Britt will do Jazz to “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode.

The stakes are higher next week because there will be a double elimination. Consequently, whoever stays will move straight to the Semi-Finals on November 14. If you don’t want to miss the ‘90s night, tune in on Disney+, Monday, November 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
