Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas is reportedly next in line to be Len Goodman’s replacement on Dancing With The Stars. Apparently, there is a general agreement that Ballas is the perfect fit for the job.

Shirley Ballas Will Be the Next DWTS Judge

As the popular DWTS head judge steps down from his place on the judging panel, it’s been rumored that Ballas is next in line to take over. The show’s team seems to believe that Ballas is a great addition as a judge on the American dance show.

“Len’s exit leaves a big hole in the panel, but the show team feel Shirley would be a really great addition.” A source told The Sun. “Her experience is unrivaled and she has made no secret of the fact she’d love to spend more time with her son Mark, who is based in the US with wife Brittany.”

DWTS first premiered in 2005 and Goodman has been an ever present figure on the hit dance competition show. Ballas has expressed tremendous respect and admiration to the now retired judge, posting a clip of Goodman’s exit speech. Ballas also wrote a letter for Goodman sending her warm regards towards the longtime judge.

The constructive criticism that Ballas gives has continually helped dancers on Strictly Come Dancing. Subsequently, her dancing knowledge and experience will be a welcome addition to DWTS.

Although this definitely seems like a good move for the series, one question remains. Would it be a conflict of interest for her son, Mark Ballas, to get a partner next season?

Is She Quitting Strictly Come Dancing For DWTS

Ballas is the head judge of Strictly Come Dancing, and with the latest announcement, fans wonder if she’ll return. Although it would be difficult to be a judge on two shows, Ballas has no intention of leaving Strictly Come Dancing.

“She could hold both her Strictly job and a new role on Dancing with the Stars as Len did for years.” A spokesman said. “She loves Strictly and working with the BBC, and has no intention of leaving.”

Goodman has also been a judge for both shows in the past, so Ballas could follow in his footsteps. She is certainly the most qualified to replace Goodman, American fans want her to use her judging skills on DWTS.
