Donny Osmond’s Son Revealed on Claim to Fame
Claim to Fame is a reality competition show in which relatives of famous people try to keep their identities hidden from the other contestants. Throughout Season 2, Chris Osmond’s competitors were stumped about who he was related to.
“This dynamic of having Chris on the show, that’s what’s making it exciting because the older generation, they know exactly what it is. And the younger kids, they have no idea,” Donny told People. “It’s funny because I can only imagine how many moms are screaming at the television because he’s done such a great job to keep it hidden.”
Donny said Chris wouldn’t reveal spoilers about the show to him, so he was just as in the dark about the show’s results as the viewers at home were. He said the show is “such an ingenious way to bring the family back together again.”
Following Monday’s finale, Donny posted a funny response on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself with Chris and signing the caption as various incorrect celebrity guesses — including Elvis Presley and Elton John.

Donny Gave Chris Reality TV Advice
Donny is no stranger to reality competition shows. He won Season 9 of Dancing with the Stars and went on to compete on Season 1 of The Masked Singer as Peacock, placing second. The star had some advice for Chris as he embarked on his own reality TV journey.
“Obviously I’ve done several [reality shows] with The Masked Singer and Dancing with the Stars but this is totally different,” Donny told People. “So I [told him], ‘Just be as clever as you can in this kind of situation.’ And boy, has he been clever.”
Chris (who is a singer like his dad) also posted about Claim to Fame after Monday’s finale, writing on Instagram that he “wasn’t sure I was going to make it this far.” He added, “I mean, my looks weren’t really in my favor, but I owe it to Elvis Presley, Elton John, and Billy Idol for helping me along the way.”
