Derek Hough Wants Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag on DWTS
Pratt and Montag, who starred on the popular MTV reality show The Hills and tied the knot in 2008, recently shared that they lost their home in the wildfires which devastated the Los Angeles area earlier this month.
The couple has been posting updates about their situation on social media, and Montag’s 2010 album Superficial recently topped the iTunes chart as fans showed their support. Some fans have also been hoping that someone might pick up a docuseries about the couple’s experience.
Pratt recently posted a TikTok encouraging fans to tag their favorite networks and streaming services about a possible series. In the comments of the post, Hough chimed in to suggest the couple as potential DWTS contestants.
“Not sure if you’re into it, but I think you would both be great on DWTS‘s next season,” Hough, who is a former pro and current judge on the show, wrote in his comment. “Just sayin’.”

Fans Were Supportive of the Idea
It’s not clear how much influence Hough has on the show’s casting decisions, but fans are definitely supportive of his idea to get Pratt and Montag on the show. As of this writing, Hough’s comment on TikTok has over 15,000 likes.
One fan wrote, “This!!! Make it happen for them Derek, please please!” Others agreed that the couple would be perfect for the dancing competition, while some shared their concern that Pratt might “say something outrageous” during a live show.
Pratt doesn’t seem to have responded to Hough’s suggestion as of this writing, but fans would have to wait a while to potentially see the couple step into the ballroom. Since the show moved to one season per year, it doesn’t premiere until the fall.
