Darci Lynne Farmer KILLS On ‘America’s Got Talent’ First Semifinal Show

The acts on last night’s America’s Got Talent were all, without exception, amazing. It’s going to be a tough decision for America to make on who moves forward to the finals. But I have to say that one performance in particular stood out for us at Talent Recap HQ and that was Darci Lynne Farmer and her sexed up old lady puppet Edna.
Darci hit the stage last night with a new character, an old lady named Edna that had her granny panties all in a twist over Simon Cowell. Darci started out bantering with Edna about her feelings toward Simon. She then launched into a rollicking rendition of the Aretha Franklin classic Natural Woman. Things got downright steamy when Darci walked Edna down to the judge’s stand and serenaded Simon up close and personal. The most amazing thing was that grumpy Simon was actually blushing…over being romanced by a puppet. If that doesn’t show off Darci’s ability to bring characters to life nothing does.
The judges were blown away. Simon said that Darci is going to have her own Sesame Street-type show one day. We agree. The thing that amazes about Darci is that not only can she do all of these different characters and voices she can sing unbelievably well as those characters. Do you have any idea how hard that is? Not only are we sure Darci is moving on to the finals, she’s our pick to win it all.
