Next Tuesday’s episode of Dancing With The Stars is set to feature a high-powered fusion of pop and R&B. The dance competition series will be honoring the music of Whitney Houston on the special theme night. On par with the occasion, the episode will also feature a Dance-Off. Dancing With The Stars Gears Up for Whitney Houston Night
There are officially seven couples left in the running for the Season 32 Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. This week, the pairs will try to captivate the judges and audience as they dance to Houston’s best-selling song hits.
The evening will kick off with a spectacular opening number to “How Will I Know” choreographed by Ray Leeper. Furthermore, actor-singer and Whitney Houston avid fan Billy Porter will join the panel as special guest judge.
“The estate of Whitney E. Houston and her family are honored that Dancing with the Stars is dedicating an episode of her signature songs for the show,” said Pat Houston, executor of the estate of Whitney E. Houston. “Whitney was a fan of Dancing with the Stars, and she would be proud of this recognition.”
Furthermore, Whitney Houston night will also mark the return of the Dance-Off. For those who may not know, the Dance-Off will feature a face-off between two couples on the ballroom floor. They will dance head-to-head in the same style at the same time. The winning pair from each Dance-Off will obtain three bonus points added to their judges’ totals for the week.
