We’ve seen a lot of different acts on AGT over the years, but Loop Rawlins was pretty unique. This wild west performer did some very impressive tricks using a lasso in Season 9 of the show.
Not only could Loop swing the rope around his body in interesting ways, but he also set the lasso on fire at one point. The judges were on the edge of their seats as he performed. Check out his audition below.
Loop Rawlins Auditions For ‘AGT’
Before his audition, Loop explained that he also does whip cracking and gun-spinning tricks. He said he “never grew out of” his childhood dream of being a cowboy. He was fascinated by rope performers at the rodeo when he was a kid.

Loop shared that he has two kids, and it’s been hard to become a full-time performer. “The hardest act to do is to support a family and do what you love,” he told the AGT judges before his performance.
The audience was impressed by Loop’s ability to quickly swing the lasso, at one point jumping through it. But he wasn’t done there. He stepped off stage for a moment to set the lasso on fire, and went on to swing it around without burning himself. Mel B cringed in fear as he performed.
What Did The Judges Think Of Loop’s Audition?
Howie Mandel said his jaw dropped, calling Loop’s audition “unexpected.” Howard Stern said he was looking for something unique, and Loop fit the bill. “I’ve never seen anything like this before,” Heidi Klum told him.

Loop received four “yes” votes to move on. He showed off even more tricks in later performances. He continued to incorporate flames into his act, and in the quarterfinals, he also cracked whips. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it to the semifinals round.
Loop has previously performed with Cirque Du Soleil in the Las Vegas show “Viva Elvis.” He continues to perform, recently posting an image from his “One Man Wild West Show” in Alaska.
