BIO: Darius Jeremy Pierce began performing in drag as Shangela in 2009. The performer rose to prominence in the Los Angeles drag scene after choreographing a three-person drag act to “Single Ladies” for a sober charity event. The club’s promoter was so impressed that he offered to book Shangela for the following week.
