One of my favorite acts from the blind auditions on this year’s The Voice was definitely Chloe Kohanski. She came on the scene with her fringe jacket and killer voice and stunned the coaches with her rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain. Chloe came on our show and spoke to Talent Recap about her blind auditions and her time on The Voice so far.
I enjoyed talking to Chloe very much. She was funny, smart, and very charming. She really seems to know her music history and is confident in her abilities. One thing several of the singers we interviewed said was the secret to getting on The Voice is knowing who you are as an artist. Chloe knows her style and is very deliberate in her choices, from song genre to her look. She also spoke to me about the experience of working with Miley and her all female team and how that influenced her performance.
Chloe hinted that her knockout performance is going to be something special. She mentioned David Bowie, not as her song choice, but that she was channeling him a bit. How could that not be good?
