The Voice Announces Chance the Rapper as The Voice Mentor
On Friday, The Voice shared a video on social media announcing Chance the Rapper as the Top 12 mentor. The clip begins with coach John Legend saying, “I’m passing the phone to the newest coach on The Voice.”
Reba McEntire takes it from there, saying she’s passing the phone to “my queen.” That’s Gwen Stefani, who passes the phone to “the reigning champion of The Voice.” That’s Niall Horan, who says he’s passing the phone to “the Season 24 Top 12 mentor.”
That turns out to be none other than Chance the Rapper, who tells fans, “Surprise, surprise! I’m back.”
Chance will be returning as a coach for Season 25 of the show, set to premiere on February 26 of next year. But fans will be able to see him on the show much sooner as he mentors the Top 12 ahead of Tuesday’s first live show of the season.
