American Idol and The Voice are getting a run for their money! Netflix has taken the competition show format and made it their own. Cardi B, Chance The Rapper, and T.I. will star in Rhythm + Flow, a new hip hop competition show.
Rhythm + Flow gives hip-hop artists a chance to showcase their talents to the best hip-hop artists in the game. Cardi, Chance, and T.I. will travel to cities around the nation to find hip-hops next big thing. This is the first show of its kind and it’s sure to be a hit.
The new series will also consist of appearances from music moguls that have made serious waves in the hip-hop world. This is seriously an unsigned artists dream, I mean the show is produced by John Legend (and more)…does it get much better than that?
We wonder what the format will be like though? Will the entire season be dropped at once in true Netflix fashion? This would ultimately reveal the winner sooner than the competition shows we are used to. Honestly, I’d love this format…sometimes the hardest part about our fav shows is waiting to find out who the winner is. Although, this could ignite opportunities for spoilers and lets be real…no one wants that. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
Chance The Rapper took to Instagram to express his excitement about the new show.
The series will officially be available for all streaming junkies needs in fall of 2019. Artists…don’t sleep on this opportunity, they could be looking for you! Auditions will kick off in the home towns of Cardi, Chance, and T.I. If you’re in a neighboring city to Chicago, ATL, or NY you better hit the road for the chance of a lifetime!
