Brooke Burke Talks Penn & Tenner: Fool Us
Earlier this month, Burke was announced as the new host of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, in which aspiring magicians try to trick the title duo with their routines. Past hosts have included Jonathan Ross and Alyson Hannigan.
“I’ve done so many different things as a host [and] they proposed the opportunity and — I love magic, I believe in magic and I thought this would be a really exciting show to work on,” Burke told People about being offered the hosting gig.
Burke said she “had so much fun” working on the show, adding that it “was literally like going to a magic show every day.” She explained that the show is “so stimulating to watch because it’s so confusing.” Burke also said that interviewing the magicians brought out “the emotional side of magic.”
“Every show is mind-blowing and Penn and Teller were so amazing, so talented, so welcoming. I really, really enjoyed working with them,” Burke said of the famous magicians. “I had more fun on that show than any other show I’ve ever worked on. And I’ve done some pretty cool shows.”

Burke’s Daughter Got Involved in a Magic Trick
Burke’s 21-year-old daughter Sierra also got in on the fun while her mom was filming the new season, as she appears “in one of the magic tricks.” The host explained, “Many family members were able to participate.”
The DWTS Season 7 winner didn’t get a chance to talk to former host Alyson Hannigan before taking over the gig, but she said she wishes she had, adding, “And now she’s on Dancing with the Stars, so we probably both could have given each other a lot of advice.”
You can watch the Season 10 premiere of Penn & Teller: Fool Us on The CW Friday night at 8/7c.
