Britney Spears Back From Instagram Hiatus Celebrating Engagement to Sam Asghari

Pop Icon Britney Spears has made a speedy return to Instagram following her announced break from the app. The former X Factor judge alerted fans of her hiatus on Twitter last week to celebrate her engagement to Sam Asghari. The entertainer returned to the social media platform today with a post that has fans scratching their heads. This all comes a week after her father filed a petition to end her controversial conservatorship.
Britney Spears Returns to Instagram
Today, fans were surprised to see Spears’s return to Instagram after just seven days. Prior to her return, the artist’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart said that “it was her decision” to step away from the social media platform. Upon reactivating her account, Spears shared two identical photos of herself. One image in black and white and the other in color.
“Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my … holy sh*t … FIANCÉ … I still can’t believe it !!!! I couldn’t stay away from the gram too long so I’m back already!! !!!! Psss I took these in Palm Springs with clip-in extensions!” she captioned the post.
From the way her post is written, Spears attempts to lead her followers to believe that those particular pictures were taken while away with Asghari. However, fans were quick to point out some major inconsistencies. In the photo, the singer poses with long blonde hair and bangs. She claims that the length is due to “clip-in extensions,” but fans are more concerned with how her bold red hair dye has just vanished.
On September 12, Spears posted a video to announce her engagement. Here, she shows off shoulder length hair, with vibrant red streaks.
“What happened to the red hair? Something fishy is going on,” states one comment.
Is Someone Still Under Control of Her Posts?
Sadly, the star has been fighting against a 13 year conservatorship. Under this circumstance, Spears had no control of her financial assets, work schedule, or when she can see her children. She opened up about what it’s like to be controlled by someone else, as she accused her father, Jamie Spears, of “conservatorship abuse” sparking the worldwide Free Britney movement.
In a surprising turn of events, Jamie Spears filed a petition to end his daughter’s conservatorship last week. This move has stunned fans supporting the movement as it came months after her father shared his opposition to her attorney’s requests to step down as her conservator.
