Carson Daly’s Reaction to the Greeting Got Fans Laughing
As seen in the comment section, many fans took the time to gush over Shelton’s sweet tribute. However, there was one bitter and hilarious comment from The Voice host and Shelton’s good friend Carson Daly that fans particularly noticed.
“Get a room…” he wrote, adding a green throwing-up face to show that he’s jokingly disgusted.
Soon after seeing this comment, many people replied to Daly with their laughing-crying emojis. One person wrote Daly’s comment it the “funniest” response to Shelton’s post.
Daly’s hilarious banter is not shocking to fans who know how close he and Shelton are. Daly has known Stefani since his Total Request Live (TRL) stint. Furthermore, as the host of The Voice, Daly has witnessed how Shelton and Stefani’s romance brewed into the happy marriage that it is today. Daly was also the officiant during the couple’s marriage in 2021.
On Shelton’s final day on The Voice, Daly paid tribute to the country singer on Instagram.
“Today’s just gonna be weird! No other way to put it. For over 12 years I’ve watched the cowboy do his thing on @nbcthevoice & we have laughed & had fun, literally the entire time,” he wrote. “Thank you buddy! Enjoy your big red chair retirement, you’ve earned it! Now let’s go make a drink! (Bring some ice over from your room, they never gave me any) #OneMoreShow.”
