Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Are Reportedly Getting Married This Weekend
A source told TMZ that The Voice coaches are set to wed on Saturday at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. They are hoping for an outdoor ceremony if the weather holds up. The couple and Stefani’s three children are reportedly already at the ranch and are awaiting the arrival of her immediate family.
The property already has a special place in the couple’s hearts considering it is where Shelton proposed back in October. Shelton and Stefani dated for five years before he popped the question. Their relationship was a match made in talent show heaven after they met on the set of The Voice. The COVID-19 pandemic definitely threw a wrench in their original wedding plans.
“Ever since they got engaged, they have both been adamant that no wedding will happen until it’s safe for family and friends to attend,” a source told People. “Gwen expressed early on that she really wanted a summer wedding. She was upset earlier this year when it seemed to be no end in sight for the pandemic. She slowly started planning the wedding this spring though.”
Stefani had a surprise bridal shower in June ahead of the nuptials. She shared a behind-the-scenes look at some of the details of the event on her Instagram story. She also posted a photo sipping on wine and holding onto a gift. Stefani later threw Shelton a surprise birthday party on June 18 with their closest friends and family. The wedding will be just as intimate of a celebration.
