Ariana Madix Reveals Who She’s Closest to in the ‘DWTS’ Cast

Ariana Madix recently opened up about everything from Scandoval to Dancing with the Stars in a new interview with Us Weekly. The Vanderpump Rules star shared which celebrity contestants she’s become closest to during Season 32.
Ariana Madix Talks Dancing with the Stars
Madix said she’s “having the best time” dancing with Pasha Pashkov on this season of DWTS, adding, “If I could do rehearsals and performances every day for the rest of my life, I’d be happy. I find it so rewarding and fun.”
However, it’s still hard work, as Madix said she spends “a lot of time icing my feet at home.” She said she’s her own biggest competition on the show, explaining, “I’m just trying to be the best version of myself, stay in my lane and keep my eyes on my own paper.”
When asked who she’s become closest to in the cast, Madix said she’s “really connected with Lele [Pons],” adding, “We’re very similar, and she’s just so fun.” She also called Barry Williams “so lovely.”
“I’ve made friends with some of the pros, too. There isn’t anyone I don’t love,” Madix shared. She said that the show “doesn’t feel like a competition [but] more like this fun thing that we’re all doing together.”

Madix Is Trying to Balance a Lot Right Now
Us Weekly pointed out how much Madix has going on right now, between competing on DWTS, filming a new season of Vanderpump Rules, and opening a sandwich shop with her friend Katie Maloney. When asked how she’s balancing everything, Madix joked, “I’m not balancing anything!”
“I’m on the verge of falling apart at all times,” Madix shared. “No, I mean, when it’s time to rest, I make sure I truly rest. I have no social life right now. I don’t remember what it’s like to go to a bar.”
Her boyfriend Daniel Wai has apparently been a big help during a busy time in her life. Wai has been flying into Los Angeles to see her on DWTS. Madix explained, “He sacrifices his sleep and time to help me with anything I need, and then he takes a red-eye back and goes straight to work.”
Madix said her breakup with Tom Sandoval “made me realize that I can do hard things,” adding, “The worst-case scenario literally did happen, and I was OK. Like, look — you can handle what’s thrown at you.”
