Ariana Grande, The Weeknd Vocals are “Off The Table” in Live Performance
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Our newest coach on The Voice has once again blessed our ears with another Vevo live performance video. She currently has a partnership with Vevo, so she has been sharing live performances of her songs off of her 2020 album, Positions. Ariana Grande and Vevo are hoping to share this music all summer with fans!
The video begins with Grande walking through a field of grass, there are flowers behind her. The lighting/color in this performance is very moody, containing tons of blue tones. There is a single giant LED light on the wall behind her, it gets brighter, and dims with the beat of the music.
Grande is wearing a pair of thigh-high glittery boots, which is a questionable fashion choice with her floral dress. The dress has the base color of black (or maybe navy blue, the blue lighting is very harsh) so the bright boots are definitely a statement in this performance. But we love them anyways!
Breathtaking performance
Grande is also rocking her iconic half up-half down hairstyle. She brought this hairstyle to fame, so we know, you know which one were talking about. Her hair was a bit difference for this performance, featuring small braids to frame her face.
As soon as the 27-year-old began to sing, it was evident that this song, like others that have been performed, did not have much studio manipulation. She immediately has great pitch, and sounds just like the recording.
Both Grande and The Weeknd looked absolutely amazing. It’s great to hear their vocal talent live, and we hope to see another performance of them soon. The two together sounded angelic in this performance.
“Off The Table” is probably my least favorite song on Grande’s 2020 album. I’m not going to lie, even though I’m a dedicated Ariana Grande fan, this wasn’t the performance I was excited for. But, I was happily surprised, this performance even changed my mind on the song as a whole. Vevo and Grande will be dropping the live performance of “Positions” tomorrow on Grande’s Vevo account.
Great Pitch, Strong Voice
Grande and The Weekends’ voices carried the song, and they literally sounded like they were in the studio. It’s no surprise that our newest coach on The Voice has such an amazing voice. I mean, that has to be a reason as to why they’re paying her so much to coach, right?
Grande will be taking the coach’s chair for the first time on Sept. 20. The show will air on Mondays and Tuesdays, so we’ll be seeing a lot of Grande coming up.
