American Song Contest returned to NBC with new larger than life performances for the series fourth episode. Many artists impressed tonight on American Song Contest, but Washington’s soul and R&B singer Allen Stone won the jury vote.

Last week, Tyler Braden representing Tennessee impressed with his original song “Seventeen.” His song and performance was so flawless that the jury voted him into the semi finals at the conclusion of the episode. Joining Smith in the semifinals is Riker Lynch from Colorado, Ni/Co from Alabama, and Grant Knoche from Texas.

Amazing Singers Take the American Song Contest Stage

The Grammy Award nominated group The Crystal Method representing Nevada premiered their techno-single “Watch Me Now” on the American Song Contest stage. While the group had a career ahead of the series, Scott Kirkland is now performing solo as The Crystal Method. The powerful performance totally lit up the stage.

Alexis Cunningham representing West Virginia took the stage singing her hopeful love song “Working on a Miracle” in this episode. I wasn’t expecting a straightforward pop song out of this artist, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. Her voice is extremely unique with a thick lower register and slight rasp.

NËITHER representing Washington, D.C. had the most powerful voice of the night by far. His song “I Like it” came alive on the giant stage. This song needed an on-stage performance like AleXa from the first qualifying round. It almost felt like he wasn’t matching the energy of the song itself.

Twins Las Marías, Maria Isabel and Maria Theresa, representing Arizona took the stage with their upbeat song “De La Finikera.” The strong point of the twins performance was their on stage harmonization. Their performance even had Snoop Dogg dancing!

Bri Steves representing Pennsylvania also took the stage in tonight’s episode. Out of all the performances seen tonight, I thought hers was one of the most well put together. Her song “Plenty Love” is a relaxed hip-hop track with meaningful lyrics.

Washington Takes Top Jury Vote Spot After Massachusetts Held the Spot For the Entire Night

Grammy nominated soul and R&B singer Allen Stone took the stage on this episode of American Song Contest. The Washington representing artist sang “A Bit of Both” on the stage. Everything about this performance was polished and perfected by the artist. Stone has an extremely unique voice and it definitely shined on stage.

At the end of the night, Allen Stone was sent through to the next round of the competition. Fans will find out which artists will continue into the semi finals alongside Stone in the beginning of next episode. American Song Contest returns to NBC live on Monday, April 11 from 8 to 10 p.m. ET. Voting is now open on NBC’s website, app, and TikTok until 7 a.m. ET on Wednesday.
