Kinstler took to Instagram to share the cover art for her new single “Leo.” It features a photo of the singer looking over her shoulder and smiling at the camera while wearing a long-sleeved black dress. Kinstler shared that the song will be out January 2.

Fans can pre-save the song now, and they can also see her performing the track at the Rose Bowl on Monday, January 2. Kinstler will be representing her home state of Illinois on the Enjoy Illinois float during the event.

You can tune in to the Rose Parade live on January 2 at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT. The parade will be available to watch on ABC, NBC, and Peacock. Kinstler encouraged fans to check their local listings for more information.

Kinstler Recently Teased an Upcoming EP

Kinstler placed third on American Idol Season 19 last year. As part of her time on the show, she released the single “Love Someone.” Since then, Kinstler has released two more singles — “Breaking Myself” and “Pray for You.”

Although Kinstler frequently posts song covers on social media, fans have been wanting to hear more original music from her. So earlier this month, Kinstler teased a snippet of a new song, saying it’s from her “upcoming EP.”

In the clip, she sings, “Pictures I painted in my mind / No, they were never mine / Just funhouse depictions from the outside / Crazy, I was my own enemy / The monster beneath my bed / Turns out it was just me / Luckily, illusions always die.”

Kinstler didn’t mention the title of the song, or when fans can expect to hear her EP. But they can look forward to hearing “Leo” very soon.
