Diaz announced their pregnancy in an Instagram post showing a sonogram, two positive pregnancy tests, and a selfie of their baby bump. The 26-year-old wrote that they had “made it past viability week after years of trying.”
“I was told at just 20 years old that I may not be able to carry children of my own or that I may have to try IVF in order to have a successful pregnancy/birth,” Diaz wrote. “The past couple of years , I have been trying on and off and let me tell you … I was really starting to lose hope.”
About a week later, Diaz shared the news that they’re expecting a baby boy. The singer linked to an Amazon registry in their Instagram bio. It’s listed as belonging to “Samantha D and Heather C,” although Diaz didn’t mention a partner in their announcement. The baby’s arrival date is listed as August 31.
