‘American Idol’ Star Colin Stough Releases “If Not For Me” Music Video

Country music sensation Colin Stough is taking the world by storm, and his journey continues to capture the hearts of fans everywhere. Following his impressive run as a finalist on American Idol Season 21, Stough has now released his debut EP titled Promiseland, and he’s not stopping there. The 19-year-old Mississippi native recently dropped a music video for his song “If Not For Me,” and it’s a must-see for country music enthusiasts and fans of the young artist.

On one side, we see Stough singing with emotional intensity, channeling the song’s deep sentiments. On the other side, a country or farm woman takes center stage, offering viewers a glimpse into both her life and experiences.


The woman is shown in various rural settings, showing her strength and connection to her surroundings. She drives a truck with purpose and then rides a horse in a vast field, symbolizing her independence and resilience.

The song “If Not For Me” is undoubtedly a standout on Stough’s new EP. It’s a beautiful composition that showcases Stough’s Mississippi-bred vocals and his ability to convey a profound sense of emotion through his music.

Stough’s music journey began as a means of finding solace during his “dark times.” He acknowledges that music helped him navigate through challenging periods in his life, and he’s committed to giving back the same sense of comfort and solace to his fans.

His debut EP, Promiseland, showcases his honest and authentic storytelling, blending the sounds of gritty southern rock and traditional country music.

Produced by a talented team, including Alex Maxwell, Sean Rogers, and Austin Shawn, the EP features six new tracks, with five co-written by Stough himself. This level of involvement in creating the project allowed him to introduce his true self as an artist and share meaningful stories of love, heartbreak, loss, and more.
