American Idol Runner-Up Bo Bice Debuts New Look

“I’ve been off the grid for way too long now,” Bo Bice recently posted on Instagram alongside a selfie. “Nothing much I wanted, cared or was motivated to share for a good bit as I was shaping up my body, mind & spirt.”

Bice went on to share some of the changes he made to contribute to his new look, which is a far cry from the long-haired style he rocked back when he competed on American Idol. He explained that he lost 89 pounds, adding that he “can move around like I use to on stage and feel better, sharper and stronger from the lighter weight.”

The 50-year-old singer also cut his hair, quipping of the shorter style, “A lot lighter and I’m saving on shampoo & conditioner.” He also stopped drinking caffeine, went off all but one medication, and had work done to his teeth, which were damaged “due to years of Crohn’s issues.”

Bice Wants to Get Back Into Performing

In his recent Instagram post, Bo Bice also wrote that he has been “writing and practicing more than I have in years,” adding, “The faucet is in full flow again and inspiration has returned to well.”

“Back to gigging?” Bice suggested at the end of his post, adding, “Does anyone still want to hear from an old wolf who’s long in the tooth and short on worries? Let’s see what 2027 has in store for ole BB and the Bo-Peeps.”

As of this writing, Bice’s Instagram post has received over 6,000 likes, with fans sharing their support for the singer. Hopefully we’ll hear more from him very soon.
