American Idol Season 18 runner-up Arthur Gunn has a new album out called Tell Me, How Do You Sleep at Night? This is Arthur’s first English-language album since 2020, and it’s sure to please the fans who supported him on the show.

‘American Idol’s Arthur Gunn Releases New Album

Tell Me, How Do You Sleep at Night? features twelve new songs that emulate the style Arthur showed off during his time on American Idol. The new tracks have elements of blues, rock, folk, reggae, and country music, all sung in Arthur’s classic, gravelly voice.

The project opens strong with “Leaving Blues,” which is backed by acoustic guitar and harmonica. Later, Arthur performs a piano-tinged ballad called “Winter Snow,” followed by a reggae-infused track called “To Be Mine.”

Arthur had previously shared versions of the tracks “To Be Mine,” “These Walls,” and “Love Is My Redemption” with fans, but it’s nice to get new studio versions. Other standouts from the new album include “Love in the Guillotine” and “Down by the River.”

Arthur Released a Nepali-Language Album Last Year

Arthur, whose real name is Dibesh Pokharel, released an album last year called Khoj that was in his native language of Nepali. Also in 2021, he put out a Nepali-language EP called Deha Ra Aatma. The singer was born in Kathmandu and later moved to Kansas.

Previously, Arthur released an English-language EP called Self-Titled in 2020. This new release is his first album in English since then. Last August, he released a new single called “Rainy Days,” but it doesn’t appear on the new album.

Arthur was an American Idol fan favorite. After coming in second place behind Just Sam in the Season 18 finale, Arthur returned to the show in Season 19 as a comeback artist, but he was eliminated before the finale.

In March, Arthur teased the new project on Instagram, writing, “This album was long time coming, I am really glad that it’ll be out all around the world soon. Real hard work with true devotion always pays off despite the challenges we face.”

This was a huge loss when Arthur didn’t return to win American Idol. He was my all time fav competitor. Right up there was Noah Thompson! Such great talent as Arthur should be highlighted regardless win or lose.
